Research Notes

Regarding her death date:

  • Find A Grave[2] shows Mar 1824, with no grave marker pictured. Indeed, burial site is unknown.
  • Family Search[3] shows Jan 1824, with no sources given.
  • The text above makes two statements: "about 1824" and "6 Nov 1824", both with no sources.

So, until valid sources are found, Mar 1824 will be used to agree with Find A Grave.

Notes II

  • I found it odd that her marriage date was 1778 meaning she'd only have been about 12 at the time...so after some quick checking it appears there was a transcription error with a FamilySearch source and this is the new marriage source from the profile (June 30, 1788):

Belcher-3834 & Belcher-940 are the same person with same name, sane death date and locations, exact same husband (who is also a duplicate profile being merged) birth isn't the same bc it is absent from one profile. Belcher-940 has 3 sons linked to profile but clearly states another son, Daniel was had by said couple. Belcher-3834 only has one son, Daniel and no others but this seems to be a case where two persons have the data missing from the other's profile...so merging would create a more complete profile and I have sources to add as do others. I've listed some on the other family members pages and placed some in the comments sections- and m happy to do so here as well. PLEASE consider this before rejecting; since space is limited you can check the opposing profile and see the missing info or check findagrave (I know not a primary source) but it does had a bio to check with and the pages on familysearch are being formatted by a group of us now so that is also available. Thanks so much everyone! Becky E. Simmons

Belcher-1864 and Belcher-940 appear to represent the same person because: Same husband, father's name is likely spelling variation, no sourcing.

Agreed but I did see today where this possibly came from...a source on the profile of familysearch...I believe it was a transcription error and although I had nothing to do with this lrofile's creation- I wanted to try to help see where the misinformation started. - Becky Elizabeth
