At some point later Charles moves to Missouri where he meets and marries Anna in 1905. On the 1910 Census, Charles and Anna are living with their first two children in Benton, Crawford, Missouri where he owns and works on a general farm.[7] In 1916, he applies for an Army Pension.[8] The following year, he registers for WWI Draft. Charles is working at the Midcontinental Iron Company as an iron worker.[9] By 1920, Charles has changes jobs and is working as a merchant for a meat market.
