After leaving the Navy I lived in Japan from 1983 - 1999.
I moved to the west coast of the US in 2002 and have lived in Sunnyvale, CA since 2008.
Ancestors were Huguenots, Puritans and Potato farmers ... maybe.
I am interested in connecting with folks in the same tree, loosely connected and otherwise. I'd like to learn and contribute to the #Hugenot research, #Scotch-Irish migration in particular.
I was born and raised in Cincinnati, OH. I joined the US Navy in 1978 and after basic training in Orlando, electronics training in Great Lakes, OCS in Rhode Island and combat warfare school in Coronado, I was stationed in Yokosuka, Japan. I served as Communications Officer on the USS Knox and Intelligence Officer for Comdesron 15.

I recognize many of these names and hope that, in time, I can merge some.

Congratulations on certifying to work on pre-1700 profiles! It’s very important to read and understand the Help:Pre-1700 Profiles page. These profiles for deep ancestors are shared by many, and collaborating on them works best if we all follow the guidelines in the certification quiz.
Primary sources should always be added to pre-1700 profiles at the time they are created. If you don't have a source for a pre-1700 profile, it would be best to ask for help in the G2G forum before creating the profile.

I suggest starting with the New Member How-To pages, they will save you a lot of time and frustration. Building your family tree on WikiTree will help you connect with others who have the same ancestors.
Need help? Just ask!
