Biography

Courtney Bell was born about 1740 in Edgecombe County, North Carolina, daughter of Thomas Brittain Bell (~1715 - 1761) and Martha (Latham) Bell (~1717 - 1761).
Her sister was Caroline (Bell) Pyland (~1740 - ).
Courtney married Nathan Jones , son of John Thomas Jones and Martha Elizabeth Davis, on 1 Jan 1762 in Edgecombe, North Carolina.[1][2] Their children were:

  3. Thomas Jones 1767–
  4. Elizabeth Jones 1769–
  5. Nancy (Jones) Childers (1775 - 1857)[3]
