James was the son of Silas BELL Sr. (b. 1787 in Augusta Co, VA) and Lucretia WALKER (b. Dec 23, 1789 in Wayne Co, KY).
He and Eliza Baker were married on Jun 23, 1844, La Grange, TX. Inscription: Texas Veteran, Texas War for Independence; Co D 8th TX Inf Reg CSA
