Elizabeth was born the 24th of Feb 1843 to Arthur Charles Bell and Rosa Garrett in Guilford Township, Jo Daviess, Illinois.

In 1850[2] they live in Mill Creek, Jo Davies, Illinois. She confirms her birth place is Kentucky. In the home are Arthur 43, Diana 30, Henry 13, Zephenia 12, Caroline 11, Catherine 9, Elizabeth 8, William 5, Arthur 3, Mary 2 and Harriett 1. In 1910[7] they lived in a rented house on Lumber Street in Clinton, Iowa. Living in the home were William 71 and Elizabeth 67. She confirmed She had had 12 children, and 8 survived.
In 1920[12] They are living in a rented home on N. Third Street in Clinton, Iowa. IN the home are William 81 and Elizabeth 77.
She would die the 1st of Sep 1920 in Lyons, Clinton County, Iowa[6].
