Beard Family Bible, which was purchased in 1803, has her as the first entry on deaths, and states "Mary Beard departed this life October 19 1805 in the 75th year of her age".
She was probably born in Ireland and came to America with her father.
He was named as one of the executors of the will of his father-in-law, the other executor being David Bell, a brother-in-law of Edward Beard.
Some sources show her last name spelling as Baird.
The farm on which Edward Beard and his wife lived was conveyed to him by Samuel Lockhart, 17 May 1753, and lay on both sided of North River.
The will of her father, William Bell references her as Mary and also mentions her husband Edward Baird/Beard.
