Robert de Hougham Mark Bell was born on 16th November 1895 at Stoke Dameral, Devon, England. He was the younger son of Mark Bell and Nora Roger.[1]
Robert served during the First World War, or The Great War, with 10th Battalion, The King's Royal Rifle Corps. He was Mentioned in Despatches on 1st of January 1916.Robert, then a Captain, was killed in action on 3rd September 1916 at Guillemont, Somme, Nord-Pas-de-Calais-Picardie, France.
