Janet Bell Irving died at Hargrave Dalton in July 1880 of old age. Her death was reported by her son James Irving of Lockerbie. ^[2]

MONUMENTAL INSCRIPTION: John Irving who died at Hardgrave 18th August 1866 aged 74. Also Samuel his son who died at Fostermeadow 1st May 1830 in infancy.
