John Bell, son of John and Hannah Bell, inherited 135 acres on the south side of Spring Branch from his father. He married Phoebe, daughter of Sylvanus Stokes and his wife, Cecilia Walker. Their children were baptized in the Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church in Albemarle Parish, Surry, then Sussex County and mentioned in the Will of their grandmother, Hannah Bell in 1768:
Sylvanus Bell, baptized January 1, 1746, married Mary (nee) and became the father of Elizabeth, born July 13, 1772; John, born December 24, 1770; and James, born February 11, 1774[1][2]
John Bell, baptized January 9, 1748, died May 25, 1748, reported by Gregory Rawling (A.P.R)[3][4]

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with John by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with John:
I corrected the dated and I'm going to propose a merge with the other John Bell child of this couple. I have found a source for the Bell family on ancestry and I will add it it shortly. I'm in Florida so I'm dealing with a bit of Irma clean up. Please forgive me if it takes a few days.
