Biography

Susanna was baptised in 1819 in Southery, Norfolk, England. She was the daughter of John and Mary Bell.^[1]

She married William Legge in Southery, Norfolk, in 1836.^[2] By 1851 the family lived in Southery, Norfolk, where William was a carpenter.^[3]

In 1861 he worked as a wheelwright and lived in Fornham St Martin, Suffolk,^[4] while Susanna was at home with their six children in Southery.^[5] in 1871 William lodged in Ely while he worked as a carpenter.^[6] The Legge family was reunited for the 1881 and 1891 census, when they lived in Southery.^[7][8]

Susan died in 1894 at the age of 75.^[9]
