George was born in Blairstown, Iowa on 5 Oct 1863, the son of Henry Bell and Catherine Whiteneck.[1]
In 1870, the Bell family lived in Leroy, Benton, Iowa. The household included Henry Bell, 41, born in England, a farmer and US citizen, with $6000 in real estate and $5500 in personal estate; his wife Catherine, 40, b. Ohio; their five children, all b. Iowa: William, 10, in school; Elizabeth, 8, in school; George, 6; Lula, 2; and Sarah, an infant, b. May 1870; and Mike McMiner, 40, a farm laborer.[2]
On 11 Jan 1887, George married Orpha Harting in Des Moines, Iowa.[3]
George passed away on 21 Dec 1950 in Logan, Cache, Utah.[1] He was buried two days later in Logan City Cemetery, Logan, Cache, Utah.[4]
