Thomas Bell who married Elizabeth Hewlett established the first grist mill at the Falls of Blaine in Lawrence Co. Kentucky about 1819. An article published in the Big Sandy News denoting the history of Fallsburg chronicles the Bell and Hewlett family in their years at the falls. The Bell and Hewlett descendants are still living in that area today.
