Glen Samuel Bell was the son of John Reason Bell and Mary Melinda Scott. John and Melinda were the parents of 9 children: Myrtle Amy who married John Franklin Conner, Irene Maude who married Albert Epworth Tomlinson, Nellie Alice who married Ira Elmer Miller, an infant som not named, Leroy Ernest who married Jenni May Whitney, Herbert Harrison who married Elsie Mary Whitney, Glen Samuel who married Ethel Pearl Whitney, Geneva Minerva who married Charles Logan Byers, and Laura Eugenia who married Walter E. Backus.
Glen and Ethel were married 31 Aug 1910 in Nevada, Story County, Iowa and too this union were born six children: Ralph Irving, Estelene Ruth, Melvin Carl, Howard Leroy, and twins Harold Wayne and Gerald Dwayne. The two twins died in infancy.
Glen died of a heart ailment at his home, 1907 E. Thirty-second court, Des Moines, after an illness of six weeks. He was born near Maxwell and was in the automobile business in Des Moines for more than 30 years. Before moving to Des Moines in about 1931 he lived at Bondurant. Glen was a member of Grand View Park Baptist church
