Biography

Eleanor (Bell) Fowler is a member of Clan Bell.

This profile is part of the Bell Name Study.

Eleanor Josephine Bell is the fifth child born to Samuel Green Bell and Frances B. Montgomery. She grew up on a farm in the Luray area of Henderson County, TN. Her father died when she was about 5 years old.

She married Monroe Jackson Fowler in 1884. Marriage Date is based on the 1900 Census - married for 16 years. This writer did not research their children.

The couple remained living in Henderson County, eventually farming in the Lexington area.

Eleanor Josiephine Fowler died March 12, 1941 at the age of 80. Her Tennessee death information indicates she is buried in Independence Cemetery.^[1]

They had 6 children according to the 1900 Census -
