Soon after this they decided to build a house for my Father's elder brother William Bellamy (1879-1963) , who was married with a young family. They cut the timber at Waitoa (mostly Kahikatea) taking it by wagon through to Okoroire, and build the house. Ray and Pat Goodwin and family lived in that house until the Goodwins built a new house, and the old one was demolished about 1981.
