Manuela was born before 1845.
John Bellamy (1776-1845)'s estate passed probate on 19 April 1845. A list of slaves he owned were named in his will. Manuela was one of those slaves from the Bellamy Plantation, Jefferson County, Florida. The probate record stated:
"Schedule of Negro Slaves received by W. [S? I?] Baily, Guardian of the infant heirs of Abraham Bellamy [John's son], deceased, to wit: Burton W Bellamy; Anneta B. Bellamy; Josephine Bellamy; Theodocia B. Bellamy; and Victoria Bellamy, from the Estate of John Bellamy decd the said Negro Slave now[?] allotted and set off by [?] under a [?] of Jeffererson Circuit Court to wit:", then listed 30 slaves.[1]
