DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with John by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with John:

The two Profiles have now been split. Thanks to Meredith Bellomy for doing this.

I believe two different John Bellamy's have been combined into this profile. John Bellamy was christened 11 Mar 1693 in Whitestone, Devon (https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:JWNH-3R9) and married Mary Barker 8 Oct 1716 in Whitestone, Devon (https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:N2TK-85H). They had children John, William, Charity, Joanna and Patience christened in Whitestone between 1717 and 1728. Thus he could not have been the John Bellamy/Bellomy who came to VA. So it looks like a birth, death and biography for a different John Bellamy was included in the profile of a John Bellamy of Whitestone, or vice versa. The profile for son John Bellamy is also incorrect in merging two different persons. I am not sure of the correct procedure for splitting these into two profiles.

Meredith, I have updated the bio and added sources.
HI Meredith and Charlotte--I have investigated further on my DNA connection to John Bellamy and find the match I have on GEDmatch and FTDNA is with descendants of Mary Bellamy, sister of my John Bellamy Jr and both of them of course children of John Bellomy. Mary is not listed as a daughter of John Bellomy on this profile. Perhaps she should be added as well as her husband and children? Mary is mentioned as John Bellamy's daughter on p 7 of Joe David's book.
Research Note

Connie Daniels Graves has a curious match on the same chromosome and location according to GEDmatch with several members of one family and after extensively comparing family trees their common connection seems to be John Bellamy and Mary Baker. Their family tree is managed by Irene Cash. (A870972) 40.1702 cM; (A310816)39.7037 cM; (A436957)38.1339 cM; (A669936)38.1246 cM. They descend from Mary Bellamy the daughter of John Bellamy and Mary Baker.
