Helene was born about 1801 in Memramcook, the daughter of Regis Bellefontaine and Scholastique Bourgeois.

She married Jean Baptiste Williams dit Bristol on September 27, 1819 in Memramcook[1][2].

On the twenty seventh of September eighteen hundred and nine after the publication of three banns of marriage made at the preaching of the parish mass on three Sundays in a row between Maturin Bristoll son of age of Maturin Bristoll domiciled in this parish & of Marie Gauthier of this parish on the one hand, Magdeleine Bellefontaine minor daughter of Regis Bellefontaine farmer & of Scholastique Bourgeois also of this parish on the other hand, having discovered no impediment or opposition to the said marriage, we, the undersigned priest missionary of the parish of St Thomes de Menramkooq, have received their mutual consent of marriage & have given them the nuptial blessing according to the form prescribed by our mother the holy church & this in the presence of Maturin Bristoll father of the bridegroom, of Thomas Bristoll his brother, of Regis Bellefontaine father of the bride, of Henriette Cormier her friend & of several others, who, as well as the bridegroom, have declared not to know how to sign.
