Amanda Belles was born in Newport Township, Luzerne, Pennsylvania in 1849. She was the daughter of Peter Belles and Esther Thomas. She married Peter Rustay at Shickshinny on 23 Mar 1866. Jesse P. Enke, Justice of the Peace, performed the ceremony. Peter and Mandy had five children:
Amanda Rustay died on 23 Oct 1877. She is buried in Newport Center Cemetery, Newport Township, Luzerne, Pennsylvania.[1]
