Biography

Frédéric-Soudic was born in 1742. He was the son of Jean Belliveau and Madeleine Gaudet. [1]

Frédéric (25) married Marie Modeste LeBlanc (23) (born in Annapolis Royal, Acadie, Colony of Nova Scotia; daughter of Charles LeBlanc and Madeleine Girouard) around 1768.

Their children were:

  1. Frédéric Belliveau (1769–>1844) .
  2. Marie Scholastique Belliveau (1771–>1844) .
  3. Scholastique Belliveau (~1774–<1840) .
  4. Anselme Belliveau (~1776–<1818) .
  5. Joseph Belliveau (~1783– ) .
  6. Hélène Belliveau (~1784–>1851) .
  7. Magdelene Belliveau (~1785– ) .
  8. François Belliveau (~1786–<1818) .
  9. Suzanne Adélaïde Belliveau (1790–>1871) .
  10. Monique Belliveau (1792–<1871) .

He was listed on the 1818-1823 census with Marie in Baie-Sainte-Marie. Their son Joseph and his wife Rosalie were living on the neighbouring lot. [2] They appeared again on the 1823-1829 census. [3]

He passed away in 1835. [4]

Is there any documentation for the unusual name of Soudic? It's not on the baptism. Nosorigines is unsourced.
