She was living on First Avenue in Spring Valley, NY with her husband, Paul, their daughter, Evelyn, and her parents, Abraham and Goldie at the time of the 1940 United States Census.
Paul Mendelsohn walked out on his wife sometime between 1940 and 1947[4]
She lived at 61 1st Ave, Spring Valley, NY.in the 1950's[5]
She died Feb. 1975[6]
The deed for 61 First Avenue, Spring Valley which is the southern part of Lot 19 is indexed in the Rockland County, NY deed Index to Grantors Commencing January 1, 1908.[7] and states that it was transferred from Sender Mendelson to Fannie Mendelsohn, There are also transfers from Sender Mendelson to Jacob Mendelson and Herman Pinsky. Unfortunately, as of Jan 2021, only the index is online, deeds prior to 1930 are not.
There is a mortgage record in Rockland County, NY on 21 Mar. 1933 that says that Fannie Mendelsohn borrowed $1,200.00 against the property on the southern part of Lot 19 which I believe is 61 First Avenue, Spring Valley.[8] The instrument references the same premises conveyed by Sender Mendelson and Alice Mendelson by deed on 2 Oct. 1915 in Book 260 Page 518 and also the same premises conveyed by Herman Pinsky to Fannie Mendelson on 23 Dec. 1915 in Book 287 Page 396.
There is a deed recorded in Rockand County, NY on 17 Sept. 1962 that says that the land at 61 First Ave, Spring Valley, NY was sold by Fannie Mendelsohn to Fannie Lefkowitz who was living at 63 First Avenue.[9] The deed also states that this is the same premises conveyed by Sender Mendelson and Alice Mendelson by deed on 2 Oct. 1915 in Book 260 Page 518 and also the same premises conveyed by Herman Pinsky to Fannie Mendelson on 23 Dec. 1915 in Book 287 Page 396.
