William was born 23 Sep 1877 in Great Driffield, Yorkshire, England the son of Thompson Belt and Annie Robson. ^{[1] [2]}

From1881to 1891, William was with his parents and siblings in Great Driffield, Yorkshire.^{[3] [4]}

In the 1901 census William (age 22) worked as a servant as a Groom (Domestic), in Cloughton, North Yorkshire, England.^[5]

Marriage and Family

William (age 31), son of Thompson Belt, married Charlotte Blundy (age 28), daughter of Richard Blundy, on 4 January 1912 at Rudston, Yorkshire, England. William is listed as a chauffeur and Charlotte is a domestic servant. William's sister Beatrice Jane is a witness.^{[6] [7]}

William and Charlotte had 4 known children:

Charlotte, William's wife, died in 1946 and William was granted probate on 26 June 1946 in London, England.^[11]

Death and Burial

William died on 8 March 1978 and was buried in Rudston, Yorkshire on 15 March 1978.^{[12] [2]}
