William Everett Edgar Benbow was born on 22 February 1847, in Oak Ridge, Guilford, North Carolina, United States.
He was the Son of Jesse Benbow and Anna (Clark) Benbow

William initially Married Leanella Cummings on 5 August 1874, in Guilford College, Guilford, North Carolina, United States. They were the parents of at least 2 sons.
He then Married H Mary Lou Winchester on May 23, 1882 in Hillsdale, Guilford County, North Carolina, and THEY had 2 children
Finally, he Married Mattie Mae Winchester on July 20, 1887 in Scalesville, Guilford County, North Carolina, and AGAIN, they had 2 children
He lived in Guilford, Guilford, North Carolina, in 1850 and Oak Ridge Township, Guilford, North Carolina, United States in 1900.
