Benjamin was born in the Wiltshire village of Tollard Royal and was christened there on 14th June 1794.
On 15th December 1818 Benjamin married Mary Rideout at Tollard Royal.
Benjamin and Mary had seven children: Mary, Anna, Elizabeth, Job, Frances, Jane and Eliza.
The 1841 census records Benjamin and Mary residing with all seven of their children in Green Lane, Ashmore, Dorset.
By 1851 just three of the children remained at home with their parents in Green Lane, Ashmore. Benjamin's occupation is shown as "Shepherd".
Benjamin passed away in Shaftesbury, Dorset in 1857.
