Biography

Andrew was born about 1778 in Bethlehem, Albany, New York. He was the son of Christian Bender and Elizabeth Cramer. Andrew was the seventh child and fourth son born to Christian and Elizabeth.

Andrew married Maria Petrie and they had one daughter before Andrew died abt 1806. He was 28 years old at the time of his death and it is said he died from consumption. His widow, Maria, is listed as a member of the Bethlehem Reformed Church on August 12, 1814 as Maria, widow of Andrew Bender. ^[1] Andrew does show up on the 1800 census as well as the tax assessment roll for Bethlehem. ^[2][3]

At this time, it is unknown where Andrew is buried.
