Mrs. Sarah Colbert died the morning of Feb. 24, 1923 at Monmouth hospital, death being due to pneumonia. She had been in poor health for some time, and pneumonia developed a few days which resulted in her death. Her maiden name was Sarah Benefiel, and she was born in Indiana in 1847. She married Joseph Colbert in 1867, and to this union two children were born. She had lived in Monmouth for thirty years and had many friends. Her husband died in 1922. Her funeral was held at the Ninth Avenue church with Rev. R.W. Lindsay in charge and burial was in Roseville cemetery. ^[1]
