George was born in Indiana in 1845, the son of Wilson Benefiel and Eliza Buchanan.[1] He married Louisa F. Murphy in Indiana in 1871.[2] George passed away in Indiana in 1904 in Indiana,[3] and is buried in Colfax, Indiana.[4]
George served in the Union Army in the Civil War:[5][6][7][8]
