Lester was born in 1917. He was the son of Adolphe Beneteau and Anne Marie Dupuis. He passed away in 2006.


OBITUARY

BENETEAU, Lester Joseph Passed away peacefully on Tuesday June 6, 2006 at Iler Lodge at the age of 89 years. Born May 10, 1917. Loving husband of 67 yrs to Amelia (nee Tremblay). Lester resided in the Walkerville area where he and Millie raised their seven children: Robert and Arlene of Windsor, Arlene and Frank Vale of St. Catherines, the late Donna June (2002), Marvin and Suzanne of Alpharetta, Georgia, David and Mary-Alice of Tecumseh, Richard and Sharon of Toronto and our faithful friend Cherie Beneteau of Toronto. Predeceased by his parents Adolphe and Annie Beneteau. Dear brother to Corrine Mayhew and predeceased by Harry and Mina, Norman and Francis, Lawrence and his surviving wife Agnes, Leo and Lucille, Irene and Whitey Lefaive, Rose and Renee Jolicoeur. Cherished grandfather of David and Tracey Vale of Niagara Falls, Dawn and Marty Melnick of St. Catherines, and the late Ryan Vale (2003), Alysse and Andrea Beneteau of Toronto, Lesley and Joshua Su of Taiwan, Caley and Sarah Beneteau of Tecumseh, Alexandra, Renee and Nathan Beneteau of Georgia. Loving Great Grandfather of Adam and Aaron Vale of Niagara Falls. Lester was a long time and active member of St. Anne's Parish in Walkerville. He worked at the Ford Motor Company until he retired in 1982. As your expression of sympathy donations may be made to the Hospice of Windsor. The family wishes to express their gratitude and appreciation for the care and loving attention Lester received on a daily basis at Iler Lodge. Visiting at the WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME 1700 Tecumseh Rd., East on Thursday June 8, 2006 from 2-5 & 7-9 PM. Funeral Services Friday June 9, 2006 (time incomplete) in the Windsor Chapel Funeral Home. Entombment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery.
