Biography

Elijah was born on 27 Dec 1755 in Preston, New London, Connecticut Colony.[1] He was the son of Elijah Benjamin and Hannah (Taft) Benjamin.[1]

He married Elizabeth Paddock.

He died on 17 Jun 1819 in Madison, New York. He was buried in Merchant Smith Cemetery.[2]

Elijah and his brother Elias Sr. were pioneer settlers in the DeRuyter, Madison County, New York area. [3]
