Gideon was the executor of his father's estate and re- siduary legatee. On October 2, 1?62 Gideon sold to 'his brother, John of Stratford' a certain home lot in E. Hart- ford. In the E. Hartford Town Hall records, on July 15, 17^9 Gideon sold land; on April 5, 1749 John Benjamin sold land to Gideon; and on May 3, 1754 Gideon again sold land.

There is a possibility that Gideon was married twice, and that Amy was his second wife. (Since some of the child- ren seem to have been born before 1736, that possibility would seem to have to be open. )
