Mercy Benjamin, daughter of Joseph Benjamin, was born at Yarmouth, Massachusetts on March 12, 1674/5. [1][2]
She married Isaac Gates at Concord, Massachusetts on on July 2, 1696. [3] Isaac, son of Stephen Gates Jr., was born in Boston or Middlesex County, Massachusetts in about 1673. [2]
His wife Mercy's death date is unknown due to the loss of Stow records by fire, however it is thought she died about 1709. [2]
After her death, Isaac married second, Elizabeth (Merriam) Farrar, daughter of Samuel and Elizabeth (Townsend) Merriam, and widow of John Farrar. Elizabeth was born on Concord on October 5, 1673. [3][4][2]
Isaac Gates died on November 22, 1748 at Stow, Massachusetts. [5][2]

Jacob born about 1698 [2]; died in his 71st year at Harvard on August 22, 1769; married first Elizabeth Hapgood who died in January 1741/2; married second, Sarah Rice in 1743; married third, widow Elizabeth (Hartwell) Gibson on May 9, 1764 at Lunenburg. [6][5][7]
Jonathan born about 1704 [2]; died at Harvard on December 24, 1772 [6]; married Elizabeth Farwell at Groton on January 12, 1730/1. [8][7]
Phineas born about 1708 [2]; died between November, 1782, the writing on his will and December, 1784 when it was proved; married Sarah Hapgood about 1737. [7]
