Biography

Isaac was born in 1866 in Scranton, Pennsylvania. He was the son of Isaac Benjamin and Mary Evans.

In 1870, Isaac was living with his parents and siblings in Luzerne, Pennsylvania.[1]

In 1880, he was living at 172 Oak Street, Scranton, Lackawanna, Pennsylvania, USA, with his parents and siblings Thomas, Mary and Lizzie C.[2]

He passed away 26 Mar 1954 in Scott Township, Pennsylvania, and was buried at Washburn street Cemetery.[3]

His obituary in The Times-Tribune reads: "Isaac Benjamin Dies After Illness
Isaac Benjamin, 87, of Fourth St. Blakely, died yesterday in Clark's Summit Hospital after a long illness. Born in Scranton, he resided in Blakely the past 30 years. He was a retired merchant seaman, and a member of Blakely Primitive Methodist Church. His only survivors are several nieces and nephews. The funeral will be from the Eynon Funeral Home, 17 Hillcrest Dr., Monday at 11 AM. Burial Washburn st. Cemetery, Scranton."[4]
