John Benn is Notable.
John Benn was born in Cheshire, England.
John Williams Benn, the son of Julius Benn (bef.1826-1883) and Ann (Taylor) Benn (abt.1825-), was born in Stockport, Cheshire on 13 November 1850.[1]
At the time of the 1851 Census, he was with his parents at Hyde, Stockport.[2]
By 1861 the family were at Tiffield, Northamptonshire and John, now 10 years old, had four younger siblings.[3]
In 1871, they were at Mile End Old Town, London, Middlesex. John (20) was working as a Draughtsman.[4]
John married Elizabeth (Pickstone) Benn (1853-) at Stockport, Cheshire in 1874.[5] They had 6 children (one of whom has passed away by 1911).[6]
At the time of the 1881 Census, they were at Dalston Lane, Hackney, Middlesex (London). John was a Journalist.[7]
In 1901, they were at Steeple, Essex. John (50) was still a Journalist.[8]
In 1911 the family were at Lewisham, London.[6]
John passed away in 1922, aged 71 years. His death was registered in the district of Godstone, Surrey.[9]
