Ibbie Lorrain Richardson, 90, of Columbia passed away Friday, Sept. 9, 2011, at Boone Hospital Center. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 14, at Memorial Funeral Home with interment following in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 13, at the funeral home. Mrs. Richardson was born Oct. 5, 1920, in Boone County, the daughter of the late Warder and Ider Pauley Bennett. She was united in marriage to Riley Richardson on Oct. 5, 1938, and he preceded her in death Sept. 24, 1999. Survivors include her children, Roy Richardson and wife Mary of Denver, J.R. Richardson and wife Linda of Columbia, Fay Palmer and husband Ronald of Columbia and Lorrain Rowsey and husband Paul of Charlotte, N.C.; 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. She also was preceded in death by her siblings, Freddie, Alfred and Edward Bennett, Eliza Colvin, Veda Payne and Nina Bennett. Mrs. Richardson and her husband farmed for several years. They traveled to every state in the country. She greatly enjoyed quilting and made quilts for all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren to keep them warm. She was a 4-H leader and was a past member of the Boones 25th Extension Club. Mr. and Mrs. Richardson were a part of the Woodlandville Community for several years. They enjoyed square dancing and were known as "Grandma" and "Grandpa" to all. They moved to town and resided on Primrose where they had the neighborhood porch and the neighborhood would gather to visit and share stories. 1 1
