Biography
Ann Mary Bennett was born in 1886, her birth registered in Horsham, Victoria. She is the daughter of William Joseph Bennett and Elizabeth Miller Ritchie. [1]
In 1906, indexed as Ana Mary Bennett, she married Norman Leslie Bridges. The marriage registration, on cd, records her birthplace as Horsham. In the reverse entry Norman's forenames have been mistranscribed as Monica Elsie Bridges. His birthplace is Ballarat, and he married Ann Mary Bennett. [2] [3]
She passed away in 1920, aged 33. Her death was registered at Ballarat, naming her parents as William Robert Bennett and Elizabeth Miller. [4]

- OBITUARY.
- Bridges.—The friends of the late Mrs Ann Mary Bridges, wife of Mr Norman Bridges of Black Hill will regret to lean of her death after a long and painful illness. The deceased was well kown and took a great interest in charitable work in the district, and by her many acts of kindness she made hosts of friends. A beautiful collection of floral tribtates was received from friends. The funeral took place yesterday, and was largely attended. The remains were interred in the New Cemetery. The coffin-bearers were Messrs F. Gray, A. Dowsing, J. Bridges, W. Bridges, F. Lester, and R. Bridges. The pall was supported by Messrs Geo. Fawcus, T. Penhall, J. Lewis, W. Telford, R. Muir, C. Todd, J. Strickland, J. Hunichen, C. Mortimer, J. Miller, Mr. Lester, senr., Wm Fraser, H. Gladman, and W. Hunter. The Rev A. Issac, of Sebastopol, officiated at the house and grave. The funeral arrangements were carried out by Mr R. J. Miller. [5]
