Doris Barkly Bennett (Dolly) was born in 1891 in Adelaide and had an elementary pass certificate in pianoforte in December 1903 [Adelaide Advertiser, 15 Dec 1903] She married Percival Thomas Rogers an horticulturalist and wine-grower in Renmark, and son of a Devon clergyman and nephew of Lord Herbert Rogers, Earl of Pembroke. Rev. Rogers Thomas moved around Victoria and was at Ballarat, his wife had died on the trip out from England. Percival had sisters Vie not married and Elsie who married Maxwell Geneste and had two children Gwen and Valerie. Doris and Val lived at 27th Street, Renmark and had three children. Gwen Geneste married Robert Fraser and had John and David at Plympton in Adelaide. Valerie Geneste married Ronald T Park and had Susan and Julie at Renmark.
