My Fathers parents were from Sheffield and apparently his father John William Hadfield Bennett was a Dentist nm 5 Oxford street Sheffield UK His wife was Minnie Goodison Perhaps remarried not sure if there are any Pictures or anyone that recalls them I would love to hear. My Father passed when I was 5yrs old so do not recall him at all but heard some crazy stories about him his name was John George Bennett but everyone called him George My Mother met him at the swimming baths in Glossop road I believe he was a pool attendant and very handsome I have only seen 1 picture of him so if anyone has any I would love to see. My Mother was born Mellor her parents were John and Isabella Taylor (Bella) was her nickname and apparently they separated when my Mum was Young However a story came up that she went missing and the police were trying to find her My Mother said she was not stable and very mean to her she ran off with another man down south I can find no record of her. I did not meet any of my grandparents and Mum did not talk about them My Dad George Bennett had a Brother called Ron (Ronald) and he had 2 Sons the last time my elder sibling saw him he married a foreign Lady possibly German and worked in the queens regiment Guards and then went on to be a Prison Guard I am not sure how accurate this info could be But I do Know I HAVE 2 Cousins at least out there

Thank you for adding your DNA Test to your profile on WikiTree. Getting Started with DNA will tell you more about how DNA kits are used on WikiTree.
DNA at WikiTree provides a visual way for you to find others who have tested and have the potential of having common ancestors. To get the best results, you need to continue adding sourced profiles for your ancestors until you can connect to existing profiles in WikiTree. If you have exhausted what you know on one line, it can sometimes help to add what you know on another line. The more branches you are able to add the greater the likelihood of finding potential cousins to match with. 24 hours after you connect to an existing profile, your test will have populated on the profiles of your ancestors and their descendants, where others with potential matches may also appear. The process of identifying which branch elements of DNA relate to will better enable you to find matches which relate to the particular branches you are researching.
Let me know if you have any questions and have fun!
