Research Notes
It seems unlikely that this Benjamin Bennett is the one who married Elizabeth Biggs. Her marriage was recorded in November 1810 at the town of Stokes, which lies in Pitt County, North Carolina, some 200 miles southeast of Stokes County, were Benjamin appeared in the 1810 census already residing with a woman his age, presumed to have been his wife, and what is presumed to be their daughter born between 1801-10.
