John, recorded as the son of John Bennett, Jr., was born in Stonington, Connecticut, on 24 June 1691.[1]
He is tentatively identified as the John Bennet(t), Jr., who married Mary Clark in Preston, Connecticut, on 15 June 1716.[2]
His will is dated 9 December 1758 and proved on 30 December 1762 in Preston. and recorded in Norwich. He mentions his wife Mary, his sons, John and Jeremiah, his daughter Marcy, and his grandsons Benjamin Bennett and Daniel Bennett. His inventory was completed on 31 December 1762 in Preston and included land in Preston and Plainfield.[3]
