Margaret (Bennison) Woods was born in Ireland.

Born on 29th July 1865, parents William Bennison (Ragman) and Eliza Teaford. [1]

Margaret Bennison married John Woods (weaver), both minors, on 30th September 1885 Tartaraghan Parish Church, Co. Armagh, Ireland[2][3] Fathers Loftus Woods (weaver) and William Bennison (labourer). Witnesses Edward Kennedy & Sarah Jane Bennison.

Some children have BENSON as their mother's maiden name. [4]

On 31 March 1901, Margaret Woods (32), a widow & Linen Weaver, lived in Gallrock, Annaghmore, County Armagh, with her children: Sarah Jane Woods (15) Linen Weaver, Thomas Woods (11), Loftus Woods (9), Anne Eliza Woods (7), Robert D Woods (5) & John Woods (3). All Church of Ireland. [5]

On 2 April 1911, Margaret (43), a widow, lived in Loughans, Tullylish, County Down, Ireland and lived with her children: Sarah Jane Woods (22) Spinner in Flax Mill, Loftus Woods (18) General Labourer, Anne Eliza Woods (17) Spinner in Flax Mill, Robert David Woods (15) Machine Boy in Flax Mill, John Woods (13) Machine Boy in Flax Mill and #1 Agnes Woods (3). All Church of England. Thomas Woods (21) was crossed out.[6]

  1. - Agnes was born on 1st September 1906 in Eglish, County Armagh. [7] Margaret Woods (Domestic servant) is the mother, no maiden or father name listed. Eglish is between Gallrock to the east and Loughans to the west.
