Firmin was born on 4 October 1778 in Miramichi and baptized on 2 May 1782 in Carleton, Quebec. [1][2] He is the child of Antoine Benoit and Marie Savoie.
He married Isabelle Marie Élizabeth Landry in 1798. [citation needed]
Firmin passed away on 27 September 1857 and was interred in Tracadie on the 29th.[3]
