My tree from the Benson's, I have researched many records to verify what I post to be factual. My grandfather Virgil C. also told me many facts I post here. His mother, Anna Belle Swank, is firmly documented and published in the Swank History book by Helen Murphy. I remember several visits she had with my grandfather when the book was in it's infancy.

Greetings,,

Congratulations, you've been a WikiTree member for a month! We're glad you're here. A few tips to help you dive in even deeper:

Check out Beyond the Basics of WikiTree for a guide on some of our more advanced features such as Projects, Categories, and Merging.

We're very active on our social sites and we have an excellent blog where you'll find our monthly newsletter as well as tips, interviews with our members and guest posts from others in the genealogy community.

As always, I'm here to help if you have any questions!

Guy ~ WikiTree Mentor

Hi ,

Now that you have had a little time to try WikiTree, there are a few more features you may find useful.

Ideas on what to include in a profile can be found in Styles and Standards, including some tips on writing biographies.

If you need to describe an event, an heirloom or a location relevant to your research, you may like to learn about Free Space Profiles.

Lastly, sometimes you'll run into unresponsive profile managers. We have a process for resolving those unfortunate situations.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask via my profile page.

Hi!

How are you? I'm Shirley, a WikiTree Mentor. Hope you're enjoying our site.

How To Use WikiTree is a good starting point, and the Help Index is an important place to find out how to do most tasks.

If you have pre-1700's ancestors to add please read our Pre-1700 profiles info. Do you have Royal Ancestors? Rather than create duplicate profiles for them, please contact the EuroAristo Project to discuss connecting your family line to their profiles.

And I'm here to help too, just ask!

Shirley ~ WikiTree Mentor

Welcome Donald,

Thank you for volunteering to help grow our World Wide Family Tree.

You are now a member of the WikiTree Community. Please note we are trying to build one Collaborative Tree which means one profile per person.

Everything on WikiTree is a collaborative work in progress so don’t forget to read and sign our Honor Code. This is what keeps WikiTree a friendly and helpful community.

Please feel free to ask if you have any questions.

Our help pages, also top right, have all sorts of useful information.

Happy Hunting,

Jess

I will do my best to post my family tree as far back as I can. I done a lot of research and the advantage I have is the memory of my grandfather Virgil Coyle Benson and the knowledge he passed on to me.

Hello & Welcome, to WikiTree! We're growing a FREE worldwide family tree, striving for ONE collaborative profile per person.

"Sources are critically important for genealogy. Some even say that genealogy without sources is mythology. Even if you're just a casual family historian recording modern family history, you will be helping future genealogists by listing where the information you've added came from." Feel free to ask questions at our G2G forum. Also, our help pages menu, top right, has some very useful information. Our Honor Code is why our community is such a friendly place to grow your family tree, so please take some time to read it. Want to join us? Check the volunteer box and leave a brief comment about your genealogical journey. Happy researching Kern Brogan Greeter
