Posted on Findagrave.com: OBITUARY FROM TUCKER FUNERAL HOME. GREENVILLE - Wilbur "Coon Dog" Benson, 73, of Greenville, died Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at 8:00AM at his home. Mr. Benson was born May 21, 1938 in Muhlenberg County. He was a construction worker with Operate Local 150, and was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his father, Noble Benson; mother Thelma Benson; brother James Earl Benson; sisters Linda Sue Benson, Ruby Jewel Benson Knight, and Patricia Ann Benson Hill; and grandson Daniel Thomas. Survivors include his wife, Judy Carol Thomas Benson; sons Ronnie Lee Thomas Benson of Alaska and Kenny Wayne Benson of Greenville; grandchildren Smatha, Jessie, and Kaylin Thomas, all of Alaska; sisters Wanda June Benson McGhee of Morgantown, Dorothy Lee Benson Griffin of Frankfort, IN, Shirley Fay Benson LeDuc of Greenville, and Brenda Lue Benson of Greenville; and brothers Billy Don Benson and Charles Wayne Benson, both of Greenville. Funeral services will be Saturday, May 5, 2012 at 1:00PM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with Rev. Jewell V. LeGrand officiating. Burial in Rose Hill Cemetery in Central City. Visitation will be Friday after 5:00PM at the funeral home.
