Sarah was baptised at St James, Thornton, on 18 June 1822: Sarah daughter of Thomas and Elizabeth Bentham of Allerton, weaver.[1]
She married Robert Horner on 13 October 1844 at Bradford. Robert Horner, 26, bachelor, comber, Thornton Heights, father James Horner, comber. Sarah Bentham, 22, spinster, rover, Thornton Heights, father Thomas Bentham, weaver. Both marked with a cross, witnesses were Henry Walker and John Miller.[2].
In 1851 she was living with Robert and their children at Slave Row, Queenshead, Clayton, Bradford. Her sister Mary Ann was lodging with them.[3]
