Rosina Elizabeth (Bentler) Sanders, 98, of West Point, Iowa, formerly of Houghton, Iowa, passed away at 8:40 p.m. Thursday, June 14, 2012 at the West Point Care Center, West Point, Iowa.

Born November 30, 1913 in Houghton, Iowa the daughter of Joseph and Diena (Holtkamp) Bentler. On January 10, 1940 she married Paul John Sanders in Houghton, Iowa . Survivors include her six sons Kenneth (Judy) Sanders of St. Paul, Iowa, Carl (Diane) Sanders of Donnellson, Iowa, Gary (Vickie) Sanders of West Point, Iowa, Leroy (Joyce) Sanders of Houghton, Iowa, Donald (Becky) Sanders of West Point, Iowa, Gregory Sanders of West Point, Iowa, two daughters Vera Morgart of Davenport, Iowa, Patricia (Thomas) Brodar of Delphi, Indiana, three sisters Agnes Fullenkamp of West Point, Iowa, Rita Meyer of Davenport, Iowa, Gertrude Berg of Kalona, Iowa, two brothers Frank (Joan) Bentler of Fort Madison, Iowa, Tony Bentler of Mt. Pleasant, Iowa, one sister-in-law Catherine Bentler of St. Paul, Iowa, twenty five grandchildren, twenty six great grandchildren and four step-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Paul, grandson Douglas Sanders, son-in-law William "Bill" Morgart, two brothers Louis and Leo Bentler and three sisters Clara Pranger, Mary Menke and Dorothy Pollmiller.

Rosina was a member of St. Mary's of the Assumption Catholic Church in West Point, Iowa, the Alter and Rosary Society, the Daughters of Isabella, the Legion Auxiliary, the West Point Home and Garden Club and the Houghton Quilters Club. She attended St. John's Catholic Schools in Houghton, Iowa and was a homemaker for many years of her life. Rosina enjoyed gardening, quilting and reading. Her family was very important to her. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Burial was in the St. John's Catholic Cemetery in Houghton, Iowa.
