George Bentley was born in Ireland.

George was born in 1882. He was the son of Thomas Bentley (Labourer) and Ann Duncan. [1] [2] [3]

On 31 March 1901 the Bentley family lived in Cable St, Victoria (Belfast), County Down, Ireland. John Bentley (33) Provision Merchant, wife Sarah Bentley (34), daughter Mary Ann Bentley (6) with brother George Bentley (18) Ware House Labourer, all Church of Ireland, boarders John Irwin (23) Caulky Shipbuilding, Joseph Dowie (22) Ship Joiner Unemployed & Alfred Graham (26) Railway Porter. [4]

George Bentley, labourer from 22 Cable St, Belfast married Sarah Smyth, winder from 49 Central St, Belfast, both full age, on 23 December 1906 at the Registry Building (in accordance with the Methodist Church), Belfast, County Down, Ireland. Fathers Thomas Bentley and James Smyth, both labourers. Witnesses Samuel Jones and Letitia Bell. [5]

He passed away in 1910, aged 26, married labourer. Widow Sarah present at his death. [6] [7] [8]
