Biography

Virgil was born 2/12/1911 in Washington. His father was Charles Bentley and his mother was Mamie Irene Owens, both from Minnesota. In 1920 Virgil was living with his parents and siblings in Pleasant Grove, Olmsted, Minnesota where his father was a farm laborer. By 1930 the family was living in Fairview, Yakima, Washington. In 1940 Virgil was still living with his parents in Election Precinct 124 East Ahtanum, Yakima, Washington and he was working as a carpenter. He was also a card dealer. He died in Healdsburg Hospital on 8/11/1965 as a result of a car accident on Hwy 101. He is buried in Santa Rosa Rural Cemetery (Plot Rural MC 34 N1/2).
