Biography

Birth does not seem to be registered under any name. McKinnon, Bentley, Dart or Schwab. Search on BDM WA entering Mothers Surname many children come up with different Fathers but same reference numbers. We know he went under the name of Bentley and his 4 children were born under that surname. He also fought in the war under the name Bentley so that is good enough for us - his family. If you wish to check it out you will have to pay the Government only to be told that perhaps the Mother and Father were not married and the children were born under the partners name even if they were not his.

2441 Pte. Bentley, Albert James. 44th Battalion. Albert James BENTLEY died 09.10.1973. He is buried in the Fremantle Cemetery, Anglican Lawn section, Lawn A Gravesite 0126.
