Biography
John Bentley was baptised in Elstow church on November 5 1608. He married Mary Betts, in Ampthill church on 3 Oct. 1630. John and Mary had six children:
- Robert Baptized March 25, 1631, at Ampthill;
- Mary, Baptized November 11, 1632, at Ampthill;
- John, Baptized July 20, 1634, at Ampthill, buried at Am pthill, July 22, 1686;
- Thomas, Baptized April 10, 1636, at Ampthill, buried a t Ampthill, January 11, 1666/7;
- James, Baptized May 6, 1638, at Ampthill, buried at Amp thill, January 28, 1696/7;
- William, Baptized September 13, 1640, at Ampt hill.
John was buried March 26, 1666, at Ampthill. [1]
